Experts: Hackers attack Russian firms more than world’s average
MOSCOW, Jun 25 (PRIME) -- Hackers attacked Russian companies 37% more often than in other countries in January–May, Check Point Software Technologies, a supplier of cybersecurity solutions, said in a research on Friday.
“From January through May 2021, a Russian company faced 980 threats every week –37% more often than the world’s average. The highest growth was showed by banking Trojans, which attacked up to 25% of Russian companies during the winter months compared to 5–10% in the world on average,” the research read.
The experts have registered a significant increase of cyberattacks on the companies since the beginning of 2021. The number of attacks on the Russian firms spiked by 69% on the year in January–May.
